  • Josette Coker

    President

    Josette Coker is the CTE Commercial Photography teacher and Yearbook Adviser at VR Eaton High School in Haslet, Texas. She has an associate degree from Tarrant County College in Fort Worth and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University.

  • Mark Dimmitt

    Vice President - Contests

    Mark Dimmitt teaches Commercial Photography, Digital Design and Media Production along with advising the yearbook at Hallsville High School. He has over 30 years experience as a photographer.

  • Matthew Koby

    Vice President - Contests

    Matthew Koby graduated from Rice University with a degree in Filmmaking and Photography. After working as a director of morning news on a Houston TV station he started teaching the video production courses at Dickinson High School.

  • John Skees

    Vice President - Conference

    John Skees is the Director of Media for the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). He previously taught journalism, photography and broadcast and served as a yearbook adviser and sports media coordinator for a Fort Worth school.

  • Laura Veno

    Vice President - Members/Newsletter

    Laura Veno teaches Art and Commercial Photography at Glen Rose High School. Previously, she started the commercial photography program at Granbury High School. She is also a professional photographer.

  • Laura Spray

    Vice President - Workshops

    Laura Spray is the photography teacher at Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.F.A in Photography. She has been teaching for 9 years.

  • Shannon Oden

    Past President

    Shannon Oden, a member of the SkillsUSA National Education Team, has led multiple programs in Texas to national awards. She is now the CTE, Math and Special Projects Coordinator for Tuolumne County Schools in Sonora, CA.

  • Andrea Negri

    Secretary

    Andrea Negri teaches journalism and advises the newspaper and yearbook programs at Cypress Woods High School. She is the contest coordinator for the Texas Association of Journalism Educators and director of JEA's Student Press Rights Committee.

  • Dr. Bradley Wilson

    Senior Consultant

    Bradley Wilson is an Associate Professor at Midwestern State University and the Journalism Education Association publications editor. He has received the JEA Carl Towley Award, the NSPA Pioneer Award and the ATPI Star of Texas.

  • Mark Murray

    Executive Director

    Mark Murray has been the Executive Director of ATPI for 30+ years. He retired from Arlington ISD in 2019 and studied photography at East Texas A&M University (formerly East Texas State University.)
