Deadline

  • Received by April 19, 2019

Rules and Submission Guidelines

  • Schools may enter 10-image portfolios in up to three categories. The Rising Star Award will be presented to the school with the highest number of winning portfolios, with four points awarded for a first place portfolio in each category, three points for second place, two points for third place and one point for honorable mention.
  • Sponsoring teacher must be a Texas member of ATPI.
  • Individual students may not have more than three prints in any one portfolio.
  • Prints should not be matted or mounted. We recommend putting them in between cardboard or mount board when shipping to protect the images. Include at least a 1″ border around each image to facilitate handling of the prints.
  • Schools must upload a digital copy of each portfolio to the ATPI contest site by 6 pm on April 19, 2019. Upload portfolios under the teacher’s account. Include the required metadata in each image file (instructions here) and upload all 10 images under the teacher’s account.
  • Once a school wins the Rising Star award, the school must compete in the Top Program contest until there is a change in the instructor at the school.
  • Entry forms and shipping information available in the PDF file.
